The Fleet System
A new fleet system has been introduced into Bounty Bay Online with Beyond the Horizon and we would like to give you a little more information about this system to help get you on your way.
The simplest way as a single player to join up with other players is a fleet, whose members can all join a guild of their choice at a later point. In the same way as guilds, fleets are always members of a specific merchant alliance, of which there are five to choose: Islamic, Western Mediterranean, Iberian, English Channel, and Netherlands Merchant Alliance. Single players can either directly join such a league or become a member by having joined or founded a fleet or guild since these are always bound to a merchant alliance. The higher the level of your guild, the more fleets you can join and your alliance becomes stronger, to which guilds and fleets belong. All five merchant alliances have their own capital city and are also supported by the port cities in the surrounding area where you can also find numerous daily quests whose completion is generously rewarded.
You can find more information on our merchant alliance system on our website.
Fleet System
Founding a Fleet
1. A fleet can only be founded by individual players who have never belonged to a fleet.
2. The player must also have already chosen and joined one of the five merchant alliances.
Merchant Alliance Capital Cities:
• Alexandria (Islamic Merchant Alliance)
• Venice (West Mediterranean Merchant Alliance)
• Lisbon (Iberian Merchant Alliance)
• Bordeaux (English Channel Merchant Alliance)
• Amsterdam (Netherlands Merchant Alliance)
3. This single player must then speak with a Fleet of the Seven Seas captain (found in Lisbon, Seville, Genoa, Barcelona and Venice) after which they can found a fleet for a fee of 100,000 silver coins.
Joining a Fleet
1. To join an existing fleet players must be a member of the merchant alliance to which that particular fleet belongs.
2. Members of existing guilds (in the introduction period of the new system) can only join fleets which is a member fleet of their guild.
3. Next, speak to the ‘Captain of the Fleet of the Seven Seas’. Choose ‘Join a fleet’ and then select an existing fleet from the list.
4. The application to join a fleet must then be confirmed and accepted by a captain or a vice captain.
5. If you have never belonged to a guild you will automatically join the fleet’s member guild .
Leaving a Fleet
1. When a player leaves a fleet they automatically leave the fleet’s member guild
2. When a fleet is disbanded all members automatically leave the member guild
Fleet Assets
1. Running a fleet costs 10,000 silver coins a day which will be deducted from the 100,000 silver coins used as founding assets
2. If the fleet’s assets run lower than 30,000 silver coins members will receive a warning that their fleet will be dissolved within three days if more capital is not injected into the fleet
3. Fleet members can, however, put more silver into their fleet by speaking to a ‘Captain of the Seven Seas Fleet’
Disbanding a Fleet
1. A fleet will be automatically disbanded if the fleet’s assets are insufficient
2. Otherwise, only Fleet Captains can disband a fleet
Rights
1. Fleet captains have the right to name vice captains
2. Fleet captains can disband fleets
3. Fleet captains can open or close fleet entries
4. Fleet captains can wear special robes which can be won in fleet battles
5. Fleet captains and vice captains can recruit and discharge members
6. Fleet captains and vice captains can being quests for the entire fleet
7. Fleet captains and vice captains can create and alter fleet announcements
