The Adventure Begins
After an interesting introduction to the realities of daily life in the olden days we find ourselves once more at the port of ancient Athens. A multitude of traders, most of whom are actual players, have their wares on sale and give you a first impression of the hustle and bustle of this city.
Your character is controlled through simple clicks of the left mouse button leading them to the desired destination. By holding the right mouse button down you can alter the camera angle so that you can always have the view you want. Using the Alt-key allows you to obtain interesting information about other characters in the near-by area. Once you’re accustomed to the controls you can dive straight into your first quest.

Available tasks, or ‘quests’, are identified above the heads of the individual quest givers with a blue exclamation mark. With this in mind, our attention is immediately drawn to the non-player character (NPC), Langer, who is waiting for you not too far from the jetty with your first quests. Just click on him using the left mouse button to open a dialogue which gives you the selection of 5 possible character classes to choose from.

After you’ve chosen which class you would like to be the blue exclamation mark above Archileas’ head turns into a blue question mark which means that a quest can be completed. Clicking on him once again will allow you to receive your reward for having completed your first quest. Next, Archileas will entrust you with another quest which will automatically open up the quest logbook which shows all other open quests. Furthermore, clicking on one of the coloured names in the quest logbook will take you directly and quickly to that person thanks to the auto routing function.

With this basic knowledge you’re ready to start working your way through the series of epic quests. You will be helped along the way with helpful tips but from now on, nothing stands in your way of becoming a successful sailor.
